Mary Beth grew up in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, moved to Raleigh to attend NC State, and currently resides in Willow Spring. She attended Wake Tech Community College to obtain her Medical Office Professional Diploma and North Carolina State University, where she received a BS in Animal Science and Zoology. Her expertise includes insurance verification, identification of demographic discrepancies across various industry and provider portals, and assisting with the development of departmental SOPs.
She strongly identifies with being driven to serve. She spent 27 years teaching preschool at Fuquay Varina United Methodist Church’s Seeds of Faith, worked at Mako Medical during the pandemic, and is a 30-year member of FVUMC Fanfare Handbell Choir, the only known Handbell Choir to perform in Christmas parades pulled by a tractor. Mary Beth is looking forward to bringing her medical billing knowledge to Jones Insurance and excited to learn the business from a different angle.
When Mary Beth is not in the office you can find her watching NC State Athletics and the Carolina Hurricanes, hiking, horse and dog training, spending time with her husband of 34 years and their two children, and/or listening to Rock, Country, Broadway, and Classical music. A fun fact about her is that she is a Fiber Enthusiast (fabric and yarn) and enjoys treasure hunting and rescuing in the form of thrifting.
